It takes a lot of planning and preparation to pack nearly 2,000 shoe box gifts for Operation Christmas Child. Each month, volunteers gather in Benner Fellowship Hall to prepare gifts that will be included in shoe boxes at multiple Packing Parties. We unpackage toys, wrap soap in washcloths, assemble sewing and fishing kits, etc. It’s an enjoyable time visiting with friends as we work together to reach children with the Good News of Jesus! Join us next month!
The Journey of a Shoe Box begins at Faith Memorial Church in Benner Fellowship Hall beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 19. That’s when months of hard work and diligent shopping will culminate in a huge packing party where we have a God-sized goal of filling 1,500 shoe boxes! Some of you have come faithfully each year, but if you’re not familiar with a packing party, you’re urged to come and experience the joy of working alongside others filling a simple box with basic supplies, hygiene items and toys that will make a huge impact in the life of a child. Most importantly, these boxes will open doors to church leaders in their country to share the Gospel of Jesus to these same children, who we pray will receive the BEST Gift – Jesus Christ as their Savior!
Is it possible to fly anywhere in the world for just $9?
It is if you’re a shoe-box gift being transported
by Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child.
When you Buy A Flight for one or several shoe-box gifts,
it helps cover the cost of shipping the boxes from the church’s packing party.
Place your gift in the offering marked “Buy A Flight.”
