What is MOPS & MOMSNEXT ?
MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, and by preschoolers we mean kiddos from birth through kindergarten. MOMSnext is the next step with school-aged kids. Our group is both and covers children from birth-high school graduation.
We know it’s a little confusing so let’s just stick with “MOPS.”
MOPS is a grassroots movement that believes moms are world influencers. We connect moms all over the world to a community of women, in their own neighborhoods, who meet together to laugh, cry, and embrace the journey of motherhood. A MOPS group is an open, accepting place for all mothers to experience authentic community, personal growth, practical help, and spiritual hope. So, whether you are a soon-to-be mom, first-time mom or seventh-time mom, you are welcome here. Whether you are an adoptive mom, young mom, seasoned mom, foster mom, stepmom or any other type of mom, you are welcome here. MOPS provides a friendly and fun place to relax, encourage and learn from one another about how to handle this rewarding but sometimes challenging time in our lives.
At a typical MOPS meeting, moms enjoy a delicious meal, fabulous speakers, fun crafts, and conversation with other moms. Childcare is provided through MOPS Kids. Children will have story time, crafts, and snacks. Childcare is provided.
