It takes a lot of planning and preparation to pack nearly 2,000 shoe box gifts for Operation Christmas Child. Each month, volunteers gather in Benner Fellowship Hall to prepare gifts that will be included in shoe boxes at multiple Packing Parties. We unpackage toys, wrap soap in washcloths, assemble sewing and fishing kits, etc. It’s an enjoyable time visiting with friends as we work together to reach children with the Good News of Jesus! Join us next month!
Adults, teens and children will gather in Benner Fellowship Hall to meet and greet the Muehleissens. John and Beth are currently on special assignment with World Gospel Mission.
John is an accomplished ventriloquist and we are excited to meet his buddy, Lazarus.
Children will join us for the early part of this event then be dismissed to their usual classes.
Mark your calendars now for this time of fellowship hearing how God is transforming our world through the work of Christ-like disciples.
From February 2 through March 1, empty baby bottles will be available for members to take home and return filled with cash, coins or a check supporting Pregnancy Decision Health Center’s mission empowering individuals to make healthy life choices consistent with the God-given intrinsic value of every human life. A new option has been added of providing needed baby items to support new parents. Use the list below to shop and fill the crib and pack-n-play in the church foyers.
The Journey of a Shoe Box begins at Faith Memorial Church in Benner Fellowship Hall beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 19. That’s when months of hard work and diligent shopping will culminate in a huge packing party where we have a God-sized goal of filling 1,500 shoe boxes! Some of you have come faithfully each year, but if you’re not familiar with a packing party, you’re urged to come and experience the joy of working alongside others filling a simple box with basic supplies, hygiene items and toys that will make a huge impact in the life of a child. Most importantly, these boxes will open doors to church leaders in their country to share the Gospel of Jesus to these same children, who we pray will receive the BEST Gift – Jesus Christ as their Savior!
Muffins with Missionaries is an opportunity for face to face time with those sharing the Good News in other cultures.
On October 20, 2019, we will welcome Nathan and Cydil Waggoner who are working in Albania. All Adult and Teens Sunday school classes will meet in Benner Fellowship Hall for muffins, coffee and conversation. Nathan and Cydil will present a brief picture of what they do in Albania as we wrap up our time together. We hope you’ll join us!
